WILLIAM GORDON GAGE
November 20, 1928 ~ January 24, 2014
William Gordon Gage passed away on January 24, 2014, in Vancouver, Washington. He was born on November 20, 1928, to Charles and Flora Gage in Parma, Idaho. The family moved to Clark County in 1940. He was a graduate of Vancouver High School.
In 1950 he joined the Vancouver Fire Department and served as firefighter, Lieutenant and Fire Marshal until retirement in 1983.
He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church and a former Kiwanian.
Gordon's interests included traveling, cruising, reading and watching his beloved Huskies, Mariners and Seahawks.
He was a man of deep faith in God and was proud of his family.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 56-1/2 years, Norma; sons Bill (Kathy) and John (Zhanna); daughter Anne Marie Peinado (Fermin); grandsons Grant, Reece and Dylan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Terry and Rex.
Memorial services will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church located between 27th and 28th Streets on Grand Avenue. Visitation on January 29, 2014 between 12 noon and 9:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made to Memorial Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or The Salvation Army.

I am so sorry for your loss. At tragedies like these may you never forget the times and memories spent and never forget the God above when he says, He is your stronghold in such distressing times. Especially like these, please accept my sincerest deepest condolences.

It was a pleasure getting to know Uncle Gordon and Aunt Norma these last few years. I am deeply sorry for the loss of such a loving and caring man. When Uncle Gordon smiled it filled the room. I only wish I could be there for you today Aunt Norma. I pray for you and your family.
