LOWELL D. BAIRD
July 22, 1937 ~ April 2, 2018
Lowell was born in Boulder, CO to Dwight and Zoe Baird. He ran Carborundum Co. in Vancouver, WA for 30+ years, then moved to New York state for many years before returning to the Northwest in 2006.
Lowell was a devoted family man, hunter and fisherman his whole life. Unfortunately, his "huge", loving but failing heart took its final beats on Mon., April 2, 2018.
Lowell is survived by his 3 daughters, Susie (Bruce), Darla (Dennis) and Sherri (Mark); 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marla (Ray).
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth; son, Elldon; and daughter-in-law, Kathy.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.

Susie, Darla, Sherri so sorry to read about your dad as it has been many, many years since I have seen him and you also. The last time I spoke with him was at was at Eldon's Funeral. So sorry for your loss. I remember the years when I was your babysitter and your mom and him would come back from a night out all happy.. I will remember him as a great dad....Just remember the happy times and you will get through all of this in time. And now he can join Eldon in heaven and go fishing all the time now. Take care Girls

My dad, Arthur McCann (Mac), also worked at Carborundum for many years. Having a hard time remembering that far back but I think Lowell would always check in with the fishing report. Sorry for your loss.
