ROBERT RICHARD WARNER
June 2, 1922 ~ February 7, 2018
Robert was born in Portland, OR to Katherine and Fred Warner. Bob was the last living sibling of 7 children: Katie, Fred, Esther, Pat, Jeannie and Irene.
Bob played baseball at Lewis and Clark College and Oregon State University.
Bob married Nancy Burness on Feb. 24, 1946. They were married 72 years. His beloved wife, Nancy, passed away in November 2016.
Bob started his working career in education in McMinnville and then Benson High School in Portland. He was a salesman for Nabisco, Rosenblatts/Klopensteins and retired from Nordstrom's as a men's clothing salesman.
Bob loved his sports, mainly baseball, basketball and football. If there was a game on, Bob would be glued to the television.
Nancy and Bob had four children: Greig (Nancy) Warner, Robb Warner-deceased (Cecil), Trina (Doug) Irons and Nancy (John) Powell. He loved his 10 grandchildren: Shannon Harkness, Carol Powell, Brett Irons, Bob Melloy, Tesa Mack, John Melloy, Christi Munafo, Katie Venable, Emily Young and Pati Warner. Bob loved his 12 great-grandchildren that enjoyed his stories and sense of humor: Doug, Shane, Austyn, Michael, Kacey, Mykayla, Brian, Isabella, Maddie, Lilly, Katie and Warner. Bob is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Bob....and his special friends, Dorothy Liberman, Larry and Joanne King.
