DANIEL RAYMOND DEBOEVER
May 14, 1947 ~ February 5, 2018
"The warm smile he always had on his face reflected the love in his heart for his family and friends."

Daniel Raymond DeBoever, 70, of Camas, Washington, passed away suddenly in his home on February 5, 2018.
He was born in Vancouver, Washington to Raymond and Mary DeBoever on May 14, 1947. He graduated from Camas High School. He retired from Bonneville Power Administration following 39 years of service.

He was a huge fan of the Seahawks, Mariners, Braves, and Trailblazers, but his favorite athlete to watch was his granddaughter. Dan will be remembered for his Super Bowl parties, love for cooking, and all things involving wine. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and will be deeply missed.
Dan is survived by his son, Brian DeBoever (Julie); granddaughter, Ashlyn DeBoever; brothers, David DeBoever (Nancy), William DeBoever, and James DeBoever (Julie); sister, Christine McIvor (Kelly); and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary DeBoever; sister, Kathleen Zimmer; and brother, Joseph DeBoever.
A rosary will be recited at St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Camas, Washington on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas on Friday, February 9, 2018 at noon with Father Jerry Woodman officiating. I miss you my dear friend and I think of you a lot. Seems like we need a holiday get together or a happy hour out at Camas Meadows. You are never forgotten. It's hard to believe it's been 2 years. Hope to see you again someday. Love, Ronda

With profound shock and sadness, I offer my condolences. I worked with Dan at BPA, when we were both in the Warehouse, before we both found different career paths. Dan was a man that was always happy, smiling and a great person to work with and to be around. A man of great integrity. I am still in a state of shock as I know everyone else is. Praying for comfort and peace.

I met Dan at Lacamas Swim and Sport one day while attempting to adjust a spin bike for the first time, Dan was kind enough to show me how to set my bike up for a comfortable ride. We hit it off becoming instant friends going to spin classes racing each other for that all out sprint for 50 or so minutes. I enjoyed listening to his gym stories, walking Lacamas Lake and taking to the road on our bikes. His laugh was one of a kind and his heart was genuine . With a heavy heart you will truly be missed Dan. Liz Hoops

Brian and family - it was so nice to see you and your family at the rosary service this evening. I need not tell you something that you already know - your Dad was a great guy - he was also my 'old' hunting buddy and a great friend... My condolences and sympathy to you and yours. Frank Fannick

This quote is very fitting: "The warm smile he always had on his face ..." When I think of Dan, I can see his jovial smile, and hear his laugh that came from his belly. I do not recall a time when he did not have a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed ... my heart goes out to all his friends and family.

Dan was a very special man and he is going to be really missed. He was a wonderful friend, father and grandfather. I enjoyed the times that we went camping at Cove Palisades and at Shasta Lake. Dan was a super friend to my sister Katie. Dan was a quality person and gentleman. He is going to be really missed. The world needs more men like Dan. I wish peace to all of his family and loved ones.

It was such a schlock to hear os Dan's passing. Every time I saw him at Hazel Dell Bowling Lanes he had a smile on his face and a hug ready for me. Great sense of humor. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dan would always have a smile on his face. I never heard him say an I'll word about anyone or anything. Dan was instrumental in changing Item Managers into Contract specialists, and I was one of his first experiments. I admired his spirit, as well as his can do attitude. He would always accept a new challenge, and succeed in it. He will surely be missed. MayGod rest his soul.

Such a shock to learn of Dan's passing. He was such a fine, honest character.

I first met him when we worked together on the MMS Project. He was quick-witted and spring-loaded to laugh. Working with him was fun, a learning experience, and always a pleasure. He embraced every job with a positive attitude, sometimes smiling/grimacing while shaking his head.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this fine man. I can only imagine his family's grief. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

We'll keep all in our prayers.
