HARMON JEFFREY "JEFF' KING
July 30, 1926 ~ November 8, 2017
Jeff King passed away at age 91, cared for by his beloved family. Born in Eastland, TX, his family later moved to California, where at age 17, he joined the US Navy. He served in the Pacific, and drove landing craft at the battle of Iwo Jima. In 1946, he married Jeanne Becker. They settled in Vancouver and had three children.
He worked for the US Postal Service for 40 years. He was an Eagle Scout leader, coached for many years in Little League Baseball, and was active in his churches. For many years, he was an avid golfer. He was well-read and could always discuss news and current events knowledgeably. He was curious and had a quiet wit and compassion.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne; daughter Linda King; and granddaughter Angela King Barnes. He is survived by son Ron and daughter-in-law Connie Jo King; daughter Judith; son-in-law Terry King; and grandchildren Candace King and Trevor King.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sat., Nov. 18, 2017, at Living Word Fellowship Church, 5621 NE 78th Street, Vancouver.

our heart goes out to the family of jeff,and with their loss of a very gentle man, whose love for Jeannie was so evident.we knew jeff and jeannie for over 20years, and their love for the lord and each other was real and seen by all who knew jeff and his sweet wife jeannie. jeff will be missed..

What a blessing it was to know Jeff, he attended several bible studies at our home and he was always able to shared lots of insight on our different studies. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Our prayers are with you all as you grieve the loss of a kind and gentle man who loved the Lord, his wife and family. We were so thankful to have known him and are glad to know he's no longer suffering but is with the Lord.
