To my dear cousins, Cathy, Carol, David & Jim. So sorry for the loss of both you're parents so close together. You did a great job keeping them so independant for the last few years and giving them wonderful care at the end of their lives. You know they are no longer in pain and are together with Grandpa & Grandma Schmidt and Clarence and Ruby. Love, your cousin Marlene

The world became a little less bright on Sunday...I have known Jim and Jean all of my life.Their kids were like sisters and brothers to me and my sisters and brothers. I learned the meaning of "true friendship" watching our parents as a kid. The Miller's and The Devine's...like bread and butter..they just go together...Without Jim in my life,Skagit would never have been known to me. Gizzards would never have been tried and loved and having a fabulous friend in his daughter Carol would never have existed. "Jim, go catch up with Mom and Dad. They have been waiting for you." Until we meet again in heaven...see you...

"Jimmie", a true friend for over 60 years. My condolences to the family. I have lots of wonderful memories: Racing cars, fishing trips at Ilwaco, and many rounds of golf, especially with Jim's special club, the foot wedge.. I remember the time we RV'ed across the gulf states to Florida. I remember that Jim got there before we did, always up early and driving long hours. Good bye Jimmie, you will always be in our thoughts.

I knew Jim as my brothers friend and also as mine. If it was mechanical he'd figure out how to fix it. We had a lot of good times together. The last time I saw him it was at my nephew Ricks memorial service. He gave me a bad time about me having gray hair but I said was better than not having any. He it gray wasn't as sexy as being bald. He will be missed! Alan Pierce

Well, I don't even know where to begin. When I see Jim's face, so many childhood memories come flooding in. Many as an adult too. I love knowing that he was my parent's most dear friend, like a brother actually. I always felt like I was at home with Jim and Jeanie, because, I was, actually. They knew me from the day I was born. To me, he was intelligent, could fix anything (talented) and an extremely hard worker, always so kind to me. I do know you didn't mess with him, if he said it, he meant it. God Bless you all, Jean, Cathy, Jim, David and Carol. Nothing takes away the pain of a parent being gone, but I know you are all very thankful for your lives and memories with your dad. Vickie

To the family of Jim Miller he was a very nice man.I went to school with Cathy and end up living down the road from Jim and Jeannie and Jim and Shirley. I guess after all those years they considered me a family friend . That made me feel good a great family to be around so sorry for your lss to the family. Marcia Eaton Lee

Growing up, Jim and Jeanie were like second parents to me; introducing me to camping, racing, fun and responsibilities. I thank them for allowing me so many happy memories.
