DAN DOERSCHUK

Dan Doerschuk, 62, of Brush Prairie, Washington, passed away September 14, 2012. He was born in Spokane, Washington, October 29, 1949 to Ed and Alvina Doerschuk.
A high school graduate, he served in the U.S. Army from 1968 - 1971 in Vietnam as an ammunitions truck driver and also in Germany.
Dan enjoyed being 'Dad' to his dogs, Mr. Cooper and Belle. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider, and enjoyed woodworking and restoring his 1969 Pontiac Firebird.
For the past ten years he worked for Coughlin's Custom Cabinets in Battle Ground.
Dan is survived by his wife, of almost 38 years, Chris Doerschuk, at home; sister Charlene Doerschuk of Gun Barrel City, Texas; brother Leland Doerschuk; and nieces Jolene Severs, Allison Armstrong and Lindsay Doerschuk, all from the Spokane area.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 21, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver.

Thanks to Dan and his former employer, ADS, we can enjoy watching our dogs playing on and running through the pipes at our Brush Prairie dog park (Lucky Memorial) for many years to come.

It was an honor to be with you, your family and friends during your services at Evergreen Memorial Gardens and also on Monday at Willamette National Cemetery. Honoring Veterans and their Families are the main focus of The Patriot Guard Riders. We wish you Gods Speed Dan and you families hearts will understand life is a blessing we all take lightly but know that we each have the opportunity to make a difference in everyone's life thru our joyful memories.

Chris- In dealing with the loss of my sister, I haven't read the newspaper in weeks and just happened to see Dan's obit. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how close you and Dan were. I think of you often, and wish you well through this painful time.
