LINDA CHRISTINE DEGRANDE
March 30, 1947 ~ September 26, 2011
Linda Christine DeGrande passed away on September 26, 2011, surrounded by friends and family, after a six-month battle with cancer. Born on March 30, 1947, in Vancouver, WA, to Roy and Rita Bakker, she graduated from Evergreen High School in 1965. On May 5, 1967, Linda married Harvey DeGrande.
Linda worked for Columbia Credit Union for 38 years.
After retirement, Linda enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Harvey; her sons, Darin (Heather) and Scott; her three grandchildren, Donovan, Delaney, and Reyer; her brother, Kieth; her sister, Nancy; and countless close friends and family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rita Bakker; and her brother, Karl.
In memory of Linda, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 3rd, at 12:30. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society in honor of Linda's love for animals.

Harvey, so sorry to hear of you and your families loss. I didn't know Linda well in high school, but at the reunions, she was always there to see how we were doing. She will be missed. Our prayers are with you.

We were so sorry and saddened to read of Linda's death! I always thought of her fondly. She was always smiling and happy it seems. We have fond memories of you all. My condolences go out to the DeGrande Family. I remember Linda from Evergreen High School. Linda always seemed to be a very nice young lady then and I'm sure she was a wonderful wife and mother.

Harvey, Darin and Scott - I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Linda. Although I haven't seen her for years (or the three of you), she was frequently in my thoughts when reflecting on the good old days and the neighborhood.
