INGRID "CELESTE" CARLSON

Our beautiful daughter, Celeste, passed away on September 11, 2009 from extreme alcoholism at age 51.
She was born in Spokane, WA on October 15, 1957 and moved with her family to Vancouver, WA in June 1968. She graduated from Fort Vancouver High School in June 1976 and attended Business College in Portland, OR completing computer science courses. Celeste obtained her Real Estate license in Washington and was the bookkeeper at Evergreen Memorial Gardens for 20 years.
She loved all animals, and had a special place in her heart
for those that had been abused or neglected. Celeste loved boating on the Columbia River and the activities of the Power Squadron. She always had horses and enjoyed trail riding
and teaching others how to ride.
She is survived by her parents, Willard J. and Norma C. Carlson of Vancouver, WA; two brothers, Bradley (Mary) Carlson and Jon Kelly (Leslie) Carlson; one nephew, Brian (Summer) Carlson; four nieces, Lindsay (P.J.) Fisher, Megan Carlson, Laura Carlson, Emily Carlson; and one great-nephew, Jack Fisher.
Public viewing will be held Wed., Sept. 16, 2009, 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Thurs., Sept. 17, 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The graveside service will be family only and officiated by Chaplain Landis Epp.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hazelden Springbrook Treatment Center, c/o Scholarship Fund, 1901 Esther Street, Newberg, OR 97132.

Deb and I want to share our sympathy with your family. I had met Celese wile remodeling your home and had the chance to visit with her. It always seemed like our conversations centered around her love of animals. Rest in peace TT & DT

It was a pleasure to meet Celeste. I am so sorry that she succumed to King Alcohol. Her passing will help remind me to "keep coming back... it works!!"
