WILLIAM "BILL" A. RICHMOND
July 1, 1924 ~ September 1, 2014

William "Bill" A. Richmond of La Center, WA, passed away on September 1st, 2014. He was born on July 1st, 1924. He graduated from La Center High School and proudly served during WWII as a medic in the Philippines and in New Guinea with the U.S. Army. Recipient of numerous service medals, including a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Upon his return to the La Center/Woodland area, he worked as a rancher, carpenter and millwright. He was an avid fisherman when he had the time, usually on the North Fork of the Lewis River near his home. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Doreen; two sons, Gregg and Doug; four grandchildren, Jeff (Michelle), Dianna (Shawn), Shawn and Jenny (Jeremy); and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, Bradley; and daughter-in-law, Huong.
Gravesite services at Frank Abel Cemetery in Woodland on Saturday the 6th at 11:00a.m. with a reception to follow at the La Center Community Center (Wheel Club) at Holley Park from Noon to 2p.m.
