Wallace "Wally" L. Hornberger, 85, of Vancouver, WA, died July 16, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 17, 1927 in Berthold, ND to Jay and Grace Hornberger and graduated from Minot High School.
Wally received his degree in Pharmacy from the North Dakota State University.
For 25 years, he worked for PayLess Drug Stores NW. In 1980, he became a realtor and worked with Coldwell Banker Commercial.
Wally was a member and former Rotary Club president, former Board Member of Vancouver's Chamber of Commerce and served 14 years on the Clark County Planning Commission.
Wally loved the game of golf and
traveling the world with his wife and family.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie; children, Marlow (Denice) Hornberger and Marja (Clyde) Holmes; and grandchildren, Nicole and Reid.
A private memorial service for close friends and family of Wally will be held. Then on August 1, 2013, there will be a celebration of Wally's life, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at The Red Cross Building, 605 Barnes St., Vancouver, WA.
In lieu of flowers, please make a monetary donation in honor of Wally to the Vancouver Rotary Foundation for Scouting.
