GENE LA HUSEN
July 14, 1929 ~ December 12, 2013
Gene and his wife Mary, moved to Vancouver, WA in 2008 to be close to their family. He was born in Pasadena, CA and lived in several west coast cities growing up, including Wenatchee and Seattle, WA. Gene graduated from Santa Ana, CA High School and Stanford University.
His career was in property-casualty insurance in southern California and he was a CPCU specializing in large corporations.
Gene enjoyed sailing and scuba diving. He did much volunteer work, including Rotary Club, his church, the Boy Scouts, and the RSVP. He and his wife Mary traveled widely, often on trips involving boats.
Gene is survived by his wife, Mary; three children: Elizabeth, Richard and John; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Gene is at peace after a long journey
with Alzheimer's. He will be greatly missed.
