BILL ROSS SPRAGUE
August 8, 1931 ~ June 9, 2014
"His humor, level head, and sound advice,
will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him."

Bill Ross Sprague, 82, of Vancouver, WA, passed away on Mon., June 9th, 2014 at his home. He was born on Aug. 8th, 1931 in Parker, ID to Ross and Eliza Sprague.
Bill served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949-1952 where he earned his GED and was honorably discharged after service during the Korean War.
In 1953, Bill was hired at the Alcoa Aluminum Plant in Vancouver, WA and worked there in several capacities, including potman, carbon setter, head tapper, and crane operator for more than 30 years, retiring after the plant closed operations in 1986.
On July 30th, 1954, Bill married Elsie Jo Lehto. The couple raised their family in Vancouver and resided there most of their lives.
Bill enjoyed watching sports, including boxing, football, and basketball, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Bill was a devoted husband and father.
He loved being a grandfather and was often accused of spoiling his grandchildren to no end.
Bill is survived by daughters, Vickie Sprague and Billie Reed, both of Vancouver, daughter, Jerri Sanchez (husband Rick) of Silverdale, WA; son, John Sprague (wife Kim) also from Vancouver; and his five grandchildren who will miss him dearly, Johnathan, Joseph and Jessica Sanchez and Cooper and Brooke Sprague.
Elsie preceded Bill in death, passing away less than a year before him.
