Anton G. 'Bud' Bartole was born in Bismark, ND on January 29, 1923 to Joseph and Elizabeth Bartole. He had 4 sisters, 2 older and 2 younger, which gave him a deep and abiding love for his family growing up. He was assigned as Crew Chief on B-24 'Liberators' and flew 35 missions over Europe during his tenure in the service. He married Ardis Mae Sather, the love of his life, on June 2, 1946, and their 67 years together is telling of their unconditional and profound love for each other. They moved to Salmon Creek in 1949 where they raised their children and lived for 40 years. They joined the Salmon Creek United Methodist Church in 1950 where Bud served as lay Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Bud retired from Bonneville Power in 1985, and together they moved to Lake Havasu City in 1989. His passion was woodworking on the lathe, and he took great joy in the artistry of handcrafting beautiful bowls, vases, jewelry and ornaments for his family and friends.
Bud was a devoted and loving Husband, an unfailing and adored Father and Grandfather, and a loyal and respected Friend.
Bud was preceded in death by his son Grady, at the age of 20 in 1972. He leaves his wife, Ardis Mae; identical twin daughters, Judie and Julie; grandchildren, Matthew, Calle and Benjamin; and his sisters, Betty and Josie.
