WILLIAM J. HENDRICKS
February 14, 1942 ~ June 23,2018
William J. Hendricks, 76, of Vancovuer, WA, passed away June 23, 2018 after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Port Townsend, WA on Feb. 14, 1942 to Ralph and Marjorie Hendricks. William graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1960.
He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1961 and retired after a 30-year career as a E-9, Master Gunnery Sargent, the highest enlisted rank. William also worked for the Vancouver School District for 15 years.
William leaves behind his wife and partner of 54 years, Jeanine L. Hendricks; sons, Carl Hendricks (wife Kerri and children Morgan and Trenton) of Mt. Vernon, WA and Brian Hendricks (wife Jo and children Taylor and Mckenna) of Vancouver, WA; and his sister, Susan Bumgarner (husband James) of Port Townsend, WA.
William attended Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene, 14410 NW 21st Ave., Vancouver, WA 98685, where a memorial service will be held Sat., July 21, 2018 at 11a.m. He will be interned at Washelli Cemetery in Seattle, WA in the military area, with a full military ceremony.
The family would like to thank hospice for the great care. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Stanley Sugarman, his Medical Assistant, Barbara Orozco, and Dr. Megan McCullars for their wonderful care.

My deepest condolences at the passing of a great Marine. Master Guns will be remembered by our great and mighty God, who will surely place him on duty with the 'Praetorian Guard' of Heavens Host.
